Toronto, ON (November 28, 2017) – Blue Ant International, a transatlantic distributor of premium content and division of Blue Ant Media, announced a raft of sales of over 600 hours of 4K and HD programming to several broadcasters in the Asia-Pacific region ahead of Asia Television Forum (ATF).

“Blue Ant International has rapidly expanded its reach across Asia-Pacific by securing and effectively windowing sales for content creators across all platforms,” said Solange Attwood, SVP, Blue Ant International. “We’ve experienced growth in Hong Kong, India, Mainland China, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam through a diversity of deal flow including traditional licensing, pre-sales and output deals with the underlying goal of delivering best-in-class customer service.”

Blue Ant International has licensed over 25 hours of programming to Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific. In India, Discovery pre-bought the rights to natural history series Deadly Australians, recently launched at Mipcom, (4×60’4K + HD; Wildbear Productions), Wild Survivors (3×60’4K+HD; Plimsoll Productions), Untamed Valley (3×60’ 4K+HD; Plimsoll Productions) and lifestyle series I’ve Got Something To Tell You (6×60’HD; Zig Zag Productions for UKTV), featuring host Amanda Holden and a fixed-rig set up as she listens in on intimate conversations between loved ones and friends.

National Geographic Channels International (Asia) acquired two returning lifestyle series from Blue Ant International. The deal includes What’s For Sale? With A View, Season 2 (13×30’HD; Blue Ant Media) where home buyers drool over picture-perfect homes and stunning vistas in order to find the ultimate property with a view. In addition, NGCI picked up Fish of the Day, Season 2 (8×30’4K & HD; Wild Film Ltd), a series hosted by Clarke Gayford where he turns unique catch into breathtaking culinary creations.

Blue Ant International also finalized a deal in Hong Kong with VuiTV for over 100 hours of content. Highlights from this package include Cream Productions’ Murder U (6X60’HD), a crime and investigation series capturing reenactments of grizzly crime scenes and student body slayings that scandalized campuses coast to coast; and high impact doc How We Got Gay (1×60’HD), produced by madHIVE Media for CBC.

In the kids category, the first season of MAKE IT BIG, make it small (7×60’HD) was sold to Mediacorp in Singapore and TVB in Hong Kong. From exploring the monstrous Tyrannosaurus Rex to flying inside a wind tunnel, MAKE IT BIG, make it small explores big experiences that make kids go wow! By explaining epic science and technology, kids are inspired to apply new knowledge to their own DIY projects and crafts.

Rounding out key sales highlights in the Asia-Pacific market includes a deal made in Thailand to True Vision for paranormal series Evil Encounters (12×60’HD; Cream Productions for T+E) and food competition show Home Chef to Pro Chef (14×30’HD; Our House Media for Makeful).

Blue Ant International is a leading content distribution company with the largest slate of native 4K nature and wildlife content globally. Its diverse catalog of over 3,200+ hours includes award-winning factual, factual entertainment, lifestyle, reality, documentary series, high impact docs, blockbuster formats and kids and family. With offices in the UK and Toronto, the company’s library includes I’ve Got Something To Tell You (from UKTV and ZigZag Productions; 6×60’HD), Teddies (Beach House Pictures Kids and Northern Pictures Kids; 90×30’HD) and Orangutan Jungle School (NHNZ; 10 x 60′ HDR + 4K = HD).  Blue Ant International is a division of  Blue Ant Media. blueantinternational.com
