(Toronto, ON – April 16, 2019) – Blue Ant International and the UK’s new indie production company Zeppelin Films have signed an exclusive two-year first-look distribution deal agreement. The deal gives Blue Ant International the format and distribution rights to all future content and includes Zeppelin’s two recently announced commissions Rich Kids Go Homeless (6 x 60’) and Respect Your Elders (4 x 60’). A division of Blue Ant Media, Blue Ant International is a worldwide distributor of premium content. The deal was brokered by VP, International Sales & Acquisitions, Alex Maldini.

“Global buyers want high-quality programming that features interesting characters and unique access from trusted creative talent,” says Solange Attwood, EVP, Blue Ant International. “We have profound respect for Elliot Reed and this first-look deal with Zeppelin Films will no doubt allow us to provide a reliable pipeline of new and unique properties to the global markets.”

“I’m very excited to be working with Solange Attwood, Alex Maldini and the team at Blue Ant International,” says Elliot Reed, Founder, Zeppelin Films. “Zeppelin Films was founded to make thought-provoking and engaging formats and documentaries. We’ve hit the ground running and look forward to developing more exciting brand new shows which will engage, entertain and sell internationally.”

This first-look deal includes all scripted and non-scripted programmes produced by Zeppelin until 2021. Former BBC commissioning editor Elliot Reed launched Zeppelin Films this year. Reed’s most recent credits include the factual drama Murdered By My Father, Professor Green: Suicide and Me, and Trust Me I’m a Doctor.

The two new series Rich Kids Go Homeless, which follows wealthy British 20-somethings who experience life on the streets for three days and Respect Your Elders, a series that sees one young person living with a one over 70-year-old per episode,  will compliment Blue Ant International’s growing slate of factual entertainment.
